Lee Frantz became I-PLUS Board President in May 2017, and has served as a member of the Board of Directors since 2014. Mrs. Frantz is the Change Management Lead for IT Risk Management at AbbVie. Prior to AbbVie, Mrs. Frantz served as the Change Lead for HCP Engagements at Shire (Baxalta) and GIS at Abbott Labs. Mrs. Frantz received her BS from Northwestern University.
Brian Donovan is a former Board President of I-PLUS and is now a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Donovan is the Director of Program Management for Procurement at Abbott Labs, driving major change initiatives across the enterprise. Mr. Donovan is a former US Army Captain and graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point. He also holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Ben Jackson serves as the Marketing Lead for I-PLUS and has been a member of the I-PLUS board of directors since 2013. Mr. Jackson is an IT Manager at Abbott Labs, after previously working as a Project Manager at AbbVie for nearly six years. Mr. Jackson holds a BS in Management Information Systems from Ohio University.
LaVaris Johnson is the I-PLUS Treasurer and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2017. Mr. Johnson is a Project Manager specializing in finance. He has worked at Fortune 500 companies like Abbott Labs, CVS and Canon. He holds a BS in Finance from Northeastern Illinois University.
Charles Thompson serves as the Outreach Lead for I-PLUS and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2017. Mr. Thompson retired as a Systems Administrator at Abbott Labs in 2016 and now serves as an adjunct professor at Columbia College. He is a former member of the US Navy and holds a BA from Columbia College and MBA from DeVry University.
Dr. George Lutz was a Clinical Psychologist with the Veterans Administration, retiring in 2015 and joining the I-PLUS Board of Directors in 2017. Dr. Lutz was instrumental in the founding of I-PLUS in 1994 to help disabled veterans transition from intensive mental health services at the VA to independent living. He holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University.
Jason (Jay) Crociata joined I-PLUS as a member of the Board of Directors in 2018. Mr. Crociata is a Senior Analyst, Business Systems and Data Integration, with Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago. Mr. Crociata served eight years in the U.S. Army (Military Police Corps), which included deployments to Honduras, Cuba, and Somalia in August of 1993. Mr. Crociata is a former law enforcement officer and also spent six years at Motorola. Mr. Crociata has an AAS in Criminal Justice from Harper College and holds a BA from Eastern Illinois University.
Fred Johnston currently works on claims for an insurance agency. He is a lawyer, and he spent many years as a civil litigator. Fred served 14 years as a Judge Advocate’s attorney in the Army Reserve. He is a graduate of Knox College and the Washington University Law School. He has also sat on the boards of two churches. When he lived in Missouri, he served as a lay counselor in his parish. Fred and his wife Annette raised their family in Lake County.
Maggie Farley has been a member of the I-PLUS Board of Directors for over 10 years and organizes many of the social, community outreach and fundraising events hosted by I-PLUS. She was the co-owner of The Shops on Scranton, a one-of-a-kind collectibles retail store in Lake Bluff, Illinois. Ms. Farley is a passionate supporter of local charities and committed to ending homelessness in Lake County.
